A Virginia Beach native, Dr. Daniel Barton attended First Colonial High School before graduating from James Madison University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Service Administration. From there, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. While in dental school, he visited Jamaica on a mission trip, where his team provided oral surgery and general dentistry care to those who needed it.
Dr. Barton chose dentistry because he loves art and has always had an interest in medicine. He is particularly passionate about and interested in cosmetic dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
One of his favorite parts of his job is meeting new patients and catching up with existing ones. He also loves the feeling of fixing something like a broken tooth and witnessing the patient’s immediate gratitude and relief.
Dr. Barton is married to Dr. Jennifer Butterfoss Barton, a local orthodontist, who he met in dental school. He has a daughter and two sons as well as an identical twin brother! When he is not running his kids to their various sporting events, he enjoys surfing, golfing, working out, traveling, spending time in his boat and walking his dogs with his wife.
He loves the Virginia Beach area for how easy it is to boat, surf, fish, and eat at delicious restaurants on the water!
